Massimiliano Bonacchi is Full Professor in Accounting. He graduated and received his Ph.D. from the University of Florence. He has been a visiting professor at NYU Stern School of Business and Baruch College CUNY. His research interests include financial reporting and disclosure, financial statement analysis, managerial accounting, and corporate social responsibility. He has published in various international peer-reviewed journals, including Contemporary Accounting Research, Business Strategy and the Environment, and Management Accounting Quarterly.
Mirco Tonin is Professor of Economic Policy and Vice Dean of Research at the Faculty of Economics and Management. He is an applied economist with research interests in public, behavioural and experimental economics, dealing with issues such as motivation for charitable giving, discrimination in public services, attitudes towards privacy, consumers’ inertia.
He got his PhD from the Institute for International Economic Studies (IIES) at Stockholm University in 2007. Before joining unibz, he was Professor of Economics at the University of Southampton, UK, and UniCredit Fellow at the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. He worked as consultant for the World Bank and the International Labor Office. He is affiliated with IZA (Bonn), CESifo (Munich) and the Dondena Centre at Bocconi University. He is also an editorialist for the Corriere dell’Alto Adige.
Nicola Dalla Via is Assistant Professor in Accounting. He graduated at the University of Trento and he obtained a Ph.D. in Business at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Before joining the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, he was Assistant Professor at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (The Netherlands) until 2018. His research interests include managerial accounting, sustainability accounting and assurance, and behavioral accounting. He has published in Accounting, Organizations and Society, Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory, Accounting and Finance, and Business Strategy and the Environment, among others.
Luca Menicacci is currently Adjunct Professor of Accounting at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration and Management from the University of Pisa, and a BSc. and a MSc. in Accounting from the University of Florence. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Auditor in Italy, and a full member of the Italian association of Financial Analysts. His current research interests focus on corporate taxation, financial reporting, and ESG issues.
Elena Michelin graduated in Economics and Management at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano and completed her Master’s Degree in Marketing at the Department of Economics, Quantitative Methods and Business Strategies at the University of Milano-Bicocca. After graduating, she collaborated with the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano as Teaching Assistant and Research Fellow, mainly in the field of Management Control and Accounting.
